Celebrate the Holidays - New Hope Style
The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce has announced the annual tree lighting ceremony for Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Cannon Square on Ferry Street in New Hope, PA. From 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, patrons will enjoy special performances from The Dance Junction, Downtown Performing Arts Glee Club and the Salvation Army Band Ensemble. Around 6:00 pm, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will arrive via horse drawn buggy. The tree will light and the first show set to music will commence. Children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa. Light refreshments and cookies are available to all who attend.
The holiday tree light show will continue throughout the season with more than 15,000 LED lights on the 35-foot Norway spruce that anchors Ferry Street. Now in its third season, the computer generated show will be a 15 minutes long light extravaganza set to holiday music. The first show is on November 25 at 7:00 pm. The New Hope-Solebury Community Choir under the direction of Rick Rosen will perform at 7:15 pm. Shows are scheduled at 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm daily. Don't miss carolers on the Logan Inn patio on Saturday and Sunday afternoons featuring the finest local choral groups, dancers and country carolers.
